About a month ago, I had an add appear in my Facebook feed saying that if I signed up to the newsletter I could get free OPI nail polish so I decided to take the risk and sign up. Then out of nowhere, I received a notice that I had a package in my PO box. I had completely forgotten that I had signed up for this. This is a different colour then what I typically use, so I hope you enjoy this Tickle My France-y swatch.

Firstly I want to talk about the name, Tickle my France-y. I absolutely love it, it’s so creative and really suits the shade. I started the Tickle my France-y swatch with a single, average thickness coat of polish to see its opaqueness. Which as with most other OPI polishes the opaqueness hits the mark on the first coat. I was able to skip the thin coats that I normally apply on the first use of polish as I know that the OPI nail polishes dry in a reasonable amount of time. Which was no different in this case. The polish really needed a second coat as despite it’s opaqueness it just needed that extra layer to add to the colour’s depth.

The polish barely chipped over the week unless it was my fault. The shininess and depth of colour even helped to cover up the small chunk missing from my thumbnail after accidentally hitting it with the knife last week. I’m refusing to chop the nail down as the nail is strong enough to stay as-is.
In terms of colour. I’m surprised that I like it. Its a really nice off pink nude that I really enjoyed during the week. Although like most nude polishes I felt that I needed to dress it up a bit but more on that later. It was nice to change it up from the blues, greens and purples that I typically wear.
As mentioned above, while I adore this shade I felt that I needed to add a little something to it. I decided to go with something flowery as I felt it would pair nicely with the pink base.

For this, I created a few decals that I would use for accent nails as I wanted to keep the nail art to a minimum to highlight the polish itself. I chose a flower pattern on my Australian themed Maniology Plate BM-XL160 (if you would like 10% of maniology use code ).
Given that Tickle my France-y is a nude shade, I selected the reverse stamping colours based on shades that were either bright or bold. This resulted in me selecting:
I added the decals to my ring finger on each hand. In hindsight, the red was probably a bit too dark, but it still looks ok.

Overall I really enjoyed this polish. It was easy to apply and lasted the whole week with no issues.
